Learning games for ages 2–8, with Pip the explorer.
Need a hand? Email [email protected] and we'll get back to you within two business days. It helps to include your device model and iOS version.
How do I open the grown-up area?
On the island map, tap the lock button in the top-right corner and answer the multiplication question. That's where you add children, see the skill map and change settings.
How do I set a screen-time limit?
In the grown-up area, use "Daily limit" to choose 10 to 180 minutes, or "No daily limit". When time is up, Pip says goodbye and play pauses until tomorrow.
Can my child use it before they can read?
Yes. Pip reads every question aloud, reads the answers aloud for younger children, and every word answer has its own speaker button. Activities that need real reading appear from age 5.
How do levels work?
Each activity has five levels. Your child starts at a level based on their age, moves up after strong rounds and eases off after tough ones. The skill map in the grown-up area shows strengths and what to try next.
Does it sync between our iPhone and iPad?
Yes, when both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account. Profiles and progress sync automatically through your private iCloud storage.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything works offline. Only the optional NASA Space Photos activity downloads pictures, and you can turn it off in the grown-up area.
How do I turn off the voice, music or sound effects?
In the grown-up area. You can also switch between Pip's recorded voice and your device's own voice.
How do I delete my child's data?
In the grown-up area, swipe left on a child's profile to delete it with all of its progress, or delete the app. To remove the iCloud copy too: iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Tiny Explorers. We never collect your data. See the Privacy Policy.
