Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Reelsmith app for iPhone and iPad ("Reelsmith", "the app"), published by Marjhorie D Mahinay ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Reelsmith, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The app license
Reelsmith is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's agreement differ, these terms apply to the extent permitted.
2. Your content
You own everything you create with Reelsmith, and exports carry no watermark. We claim no rights to your photos, videos, audio or projects, and we never receive them. You are responsible for having the rights to the media, music and other material you use and share. Don't use Reelsmith to create or distribute content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
3. Content included in the app
Filters, stickers, fonts, templates, sound effects and other assets included in Reelsmith may be used in the videos and photos you make with the app, including for commercial purposes. You may not extract, resell or redistribute them on their own.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it, and not to use it in any way that breaks the law.
5. Third-party services
Some features rely on services provided by Apple, such as iCloud, Photos and Speech Recognition. Your use of those services is governed by Apple's terms. When you share an export to another app or platform, that platform's terms apply.
6. Purchases
If Reelsmith offers paid features or purchases, they are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment, billing, refunds and subscription management are subject to Apple's terms and are managed in your Apple account settings.
7. Backups
Your projects live on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud. We can't recover lost projects, because we never have a copy. Please keep backups of anything important, and save finished exports to your photo library.
8. No warranty
Reelsmith is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that smart features (such as captions, Smart Cut or Auto Reframe) will always be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or content, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If you keep using Reelsmith after a change, you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
